BeachBerlin Employs Paypod to Simplify Cash Handling
BeachBerlin is Europe’s largest beachsport facility. This “oasis in the heart of Berlin” hosts volleyball courts, a climbing tower, an event tent, and 30 cubes located on a white, sandy beach.
The management team was looking for a secure, simple solution to reduce cash handling errors. Enter Paypod Pay Station. BeachBerlin first came across similar cashier assistant product installations at petrol stations, and thought it may be exactly what they needed. BeachBerlin now has five Paypods currently running in their facility, with plans to install at their sister venues in the near future.
Tabina Urban, an employee at BeachBerlin observed, “The customers are always happy to receive their change already while the team prepares their order. Overall a very positive impression.”

One of the biggest advantages they have seen from Paypod is that it can manage all offered services via the units efficiently, including food, drinks, and court rentals. They now have more time for personal interaction with their customers, and they spend less time manually counting cash. “The new payment system is simply more efficient. It is super fast and you know that you receive the correct change. I think that´s great!” said Julia Junhänel, a regular customer at the facility.
